Three Rivers Farm

In another lifetime, I believe I lived on a farm.  I am certain I've idealized this life and though I know intellectually it is one of the hardest ways to make a living, it is so appealing.  I think one of the reasons I move furniture so much is because I like how it feels to move my body and do manual labor.  There isn't a whole lot of that carved out in my days.  The Three Rivers Farm is up the back hill at Chautauqua.  It is run by Amy and Seague with help from their two little ones.  Every time I'm up there the rhythm feels right.  It feels like a healthy and mindfully sustainable way to live.  Maybe I need to meet an organic farmer, lol.

Buddha Cover

A few months ago, Ginger, chewed up the cover of one of my mediation books.  I read this in the mornings after I do yoga.  It helps me set an intention for the day.  Max knew I was upset that the book covered was all chewed up.  He had been learning about World Religions in history class and knows I'm drawn to the Buddha stories.  So he made me this cover for my book.  It is honestly one of the most thoughtful gifts I've ever been given.

Sunset

The past few years have been filled with lessons in noticing the light when things seem dark.  Recognizing the moments in the day that display beauty have often been the best ways for me to see and appreciate the light.
